This short documentary captures a special conversation with electronic music pioneer Suzanne Ciani as she celebrates the 40th anniversary of her iconic album Seven Waves.

The story

This short documentary was created around a rare opportunity to interview electronic music pioneer Suzanne Ciani as she celebrated the 40th anniversary of her iconic album Seven Waves.

The record reflects her romantic roots, classical composition background, and deep love for synthesizers. In the film, Suzanne speaks candidly about the solitude she experienced as one of the few performers working with the Buchla system at the time, and her surprise and joy at seeing new generations rediscover and connect with this kind of music, finally understanding the message behind it.

For me, this documentary represents a very special milestone, as Suzanne Ciani has long been my favorite musical artist, and having the chance to hear her reflections firsthand was an unforgettable experience.

An Inspiring Story

It is such a relevant album that even forty years later it continues to make waves and inspire new generations.
