A micro documentary exploring Oliver Crosby’s maximalist Los Angeles studio, where vintage synthesizers and imperfect tape machines transform playful arcade daydreams into rich sonic landscapes.
The story
Visiting Oliver Crosby’s studio was an especially enjoyable experience. Despite his young age, he is a remarkably disciplined artist, constantly searching for new ways to express himself through vintage tools such as tape machines and keyboards from the 80s and 90s.
This blend of old technology and contemporary sensibility creates a unique amalgam that reflects the spirit of a modern artist: part content creator, part virtuoso keyboardist with an overflowing imagination for both sound and image.
Yet beyond the gear and creativity, what stands out most is his character. Oliver is kind, grounded, and deeply focused on crafting sonic landscapes that still carry a sense of innocence and wonder.
